I’m going to test out a 1/4-28 threaded rod to tighten up the spacing for the #42 AWG wire. It’s a little tight at 370 lpi. I’m using the 1/3 rotation setting with 1/4 steps on the stepper motor. We’ll see how it goes.
This was to be a faceplate for the Funktronic Coil Genie control panel. The idea was to etch it into aluminum and attach it to the machine. It was one of those projects that I just never pursued with much gusto. If I ever get into etching circuit boards again, I may pull out some aluminum and go for it. I kind of modeled it after an control panel from an old kitchen appliance.
The Funktronic Coil Genie is my Arduino controlled pickup winding machine which I designed and constructed in the winter of 2016-2017. Funktronic Pickups are hand made in Fillmore, CA.
