The Uno is built with one type of player in mind: the bassist who wants to take command of the rhythm section and bring the band together with a fat and focused groove. Combining classic styling, the uniquely designed AlNiCo 8 sidewinder pickup and modern active electronics, the Sirena Modelo Uno delivers at any gig, rehearsal or recording session.
The heart of the Sirena Modelo Uno is a fat AlNiCo 8 Sidewinder pickup. The fat mids of these super-strong magnets are nicely combined with the neutral-sounding sidewinder design. The result is a big, bright sound that packs a punch and fills a room with low end.
The Sirena Modelo Uno is equipped with it’s own 2-band preamp voiced to compliment the AlNiCo 8 Sidewinder. This is no off-the-shelf on-board preamp. This 9v preamp is specifically designed to enhance the natural punch and clarity of this instrument.
Most bass necks have a constant radius from the first fret all the way up. This is OK, but this makes the neck feel more flat as it gets close to the heel. The Uno’s 3-piece maple neck is hand-carved with a compound radius, making the neck feel more consistent – and more comfortable – from top to bottom.
34″ scale semi-hollow basses are an unusual breed. Most semi-hollow basses fall into the short or medium-scale category and the few full-scale semi-hollow basses out there often suffer from the dreaded neck-dive. With this in mind, the Sirena Modelo Uno doesn’t just look badass – it’s well-balanced, easy to hold and easy to play.
