Funktronic pickups are made from cast resin parts. Silicone molds will be made from these aluminum originals. These will be for the core and the outer shell of a neodymium bass sidewinder.

Upon final assembly, I discovered that my pickup is possessed!
This is a prototype neodymium bass sidewinder pickup. I thought about doing a few more experiments with this coil, but I decided that it’d be best if I left this one alone.

These flanges were made with .030″ Garolite. Garolite is strong but is hard to cut and seems to chip easily. I’m going to use FR4 instead.
